Summer!! Customize it !!

Wanting more from life and wondering what you can do to achieve it? Wondering the same myself as I was out on another weekend with my buddies trying to understand why I do this every weekend. Contemplating this in the back of my mind I knew why and it was because my friends do it. Drinking until I get totally obliterated and not being able to remember the night is something I don’t think I want to continue doing. Trying to re-piece the night I sounded like I had a great time but why put my body through this, no more I say because it is not worth it. I cant stress the importance of how drinking can inhibit everything about your life as I have had to deal with it for a little bit but finally realized the importance of being a healthy individual. I now have the power to take back my life and make the proper decisions to have an amazing summer!!

We all dream about doing something more with our life and being able to do something different but when it comes to the decision we don’t do it. Self sabotage is what I have been preaching and that is what we all do but lets think about a healthier summer:

  • Get Fit- Now this is hard but once you jump in its no holds barred. Having summer here gives me a sense of wanting to get out and do something active and also being in Colorado helps. Get out and do some running, hiking or mountain biking as well. Not only will this of course help your health but better with the opposite sex as well.
  • Try something new- So what I have noticed is that people tend to be in habit. What you may want to try is to get fit but try a new way of doing it. I will start bouldering on Tuesday and extremely excited because it is something new and I am not wasting away at a patio drinking empty calories. Try to find something physically to do while it being also fun.
  • New style- get rid of the 3 year old shorts and reward yourself with newer and of this decade style.
  • Eat healthy and fresh- Summer always reminds me of fresh squeezed lemonade and grilling. Try to get a juicer and some fish, eating healthier also helps so many other things such as your mood. Fish is an amazing food because its protein to fat is outstanding and very lean for you but also the omega vitamins will help that burn you get turn into a tan senor!!
  • Relax- Stop stressing, this leads to irrational decisions when it comes to your personal life as well. Feeling stressed can leave you tired and fatigued so when you had plans you wanted to do you may feel weary to do them.

I am thinking that maybe also trying to do some of these with the opposite sex. Try these things for this summer and even plan a trip other than party cities like places you really want to go!!

Setting Goals for Better Mental Health

The time it takes for us to realize that we have an issue is about less than a second. The time it takes is to correct this issue can take a lifetime, why is that? I was sitting in my room knowing I have an issue but continuing to do the same thing over and over as if I was listening to the same song over and over again. Waking up I tell my self that this will be the day when I change, this will be the day I start off right. Self sabotaging seems to be the modern realization of someone’s ego. I tend to stay on the same page without wanting to turn the page with fear of it. I tend to want to resort back to the same things I am accustomed to and can’t get to the part I want to be and without it I feel alone and depressed. With the same people I seem to go out with, they seem to be friendly but in the end I am betrayed by their desires of drinking and loose women. Goals I set every start of the week seems to be dwindled by the end when my urge to use the bottle to solve my social problems.
